Midea Joins Hands with ShunDe Appliance Enterprise to Propel IGRS Intelligent Control Standard

In December 2007, led by Midea, general intelligent control standard made by major appliance, such as Be-Tech, Wanward, SOBEN, Tianle, and Galanz, together with leading enterprises in control field, will be brought into IGES Standard system. Moreover, the standard has passed project approval of national standard plan. This is the first answer sheet handed over by twelve ShunDe renowned enterprises including Midea after they joined IGRS in October 2006. IGRS says he will spare no effort to develop their advantages of technology and resources, and strengthen cooperation to build future IGRS digital home.         

Documents showed that last year, output value of ShunDe high and new technology industry was up to eighty-two billion Yuan. However, till 2010, the number will reach one hundred and fifty billion Yuan, accounting for 42% of t gross industrial output value. ShunDe major appliance represented by Midea produce half of the world's appliances. Complemented to advantages of IGRS former brown goods and IT industry, making IGRS general intelligent control standard will improve solution of overall digital home.        

According to plan, through IGRS internal discussion and improvement, general control standard will be submitted to Ministry of information Industry and relative international standard organization. We try our best to make the standard industry and international standard and develop influential IGRS products to achieve full-scene interconnection of the overall home fields.     

Through cooperation by ShunDe twelve enterprises including Midea, within about one year general control standards have been made. These tasks lay the sordid foundation for IGRS digital home layout, and accelerate the pace of IGRS 3C integrated products. Meanwhile, it’s of great significance to upgrade ShuDe industrial structure, improve core competitiveness of ShunDe, and improve independent innovation of ShunDe appliance to make the general control standards.     

IGRS general control standards are specialized in dealing with interconnection, centralized control and collaboration of major appliance, intelligent household facility and security products. The standard will promote competitiveness of major appliance enterprises from single product level to standard height. The propelling of standard will include development of intelligent control protocol software, preset of protocol software among home appliances, propelling of home appliances that complied with IGRS intelligent control standard, and set up of IGRS digital home intelligent appliance experience center, etc. These tasks will also drive household appliance of the country to upgrade. All of these are of great significant for IGRS to become actual domestic standard, as well as of practical significance to promote existing traditional industry structure of our country.   

During five years, IGRS develops step by step from technology plan to marketing operation. 2007 is a rewarding year. Achievements include advancing AHNC (Asia Home Network Council), launching new technology and product, passing ISO/IEC (International Standard Organization/International Electro-technical Commission) FCD voting, etc. This time, led by Midea, twelve ShunDe enterprises jointly make IGRS general control standards and this helps improve the foundation for IGRS industrialization, and improve the extension of big plan in digital household field. IGRS will certainly become the world’s first international standard in 3C –convergence in 2008, and make a historical breakthrough in China IT industry.
