On March 5, 2009, Beijing Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision held 2009 municipal standardization work meeting. GOU Zhongwen, vice mayor of Beijing, SUN Xiaokang, vice chief of Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China attended the meeting and delivered speech. SUN Yuning, president of UGRS, on behalf of enterprise delivered speech. Meanwhile, IGRS is awarded “Advanced Unit in 2008 Beijing Standardization Work”
At the meeting, LI Xiaosong, vice director of Beijing Municipal Committee of Transport, WANG Peili, vice district president of Dongcheng District People’s Government, and SUN Yuning, president of IGRS had dialog with each other on behalf of Municipal government, local government and enterprises respectively. SUN Yuning, president of IGRS introduced main work and progress made IGRS standardization to leaders, reviewed achievement s and breakthrough made based on IGRS standard and notable development in IGRS standard promotion. Meanwhile, SUN expressed in past years’ work, enterprises was fully aware of the significant meaning of IGRS to enterprises development and overall industry upgrade. First is joint innovation is efficient method of seizing international standard height. Second is market-guided is important principle of standardization. Third is organization innovation is powerful guarantee of standardization. He expressed confidence that under guidance of government, IGRS will certainly further improve and promote standardization, fulfill enterprise rapid development, serve capital information construction and construct innovation-orientated city as well. IGRS will make much contribution to motivating industry technology development, adjusting industry structure, especially cultivating new-style information service industry and merging and developing industry and information.
Vice mayor GOU Zhongwen listened to the report, and put forward to three requirements for 2009 Beijing standardization work. First is to fully be aware of strategic influence of standardization work in capital economic and social development, and enhance responsibility and sense of urgency of doing a job in standardization. Second is to serve capital economic development, and do a better job in standardization focusing on requirements of Cultural Beijing, Scientific % Technological Beijing, Green Beijing. Third is to strengthen guidance, coordinate closely, and take efficient measures to promote standardization.
IGRS is standard organization and industry association, initiated and established in 2003 by domestic big-scale information enterprises, Lenovo, TCL, Great Wall, KONKA, and Hisense, etc, under guidance and support of original Ministry of Industry and Information, Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China.
Currently, there are one hundred and twenty two members of IGRS association, covering nearly 90% of domestic TV industry market share, and 50% of market share in computer, cell phone and home appliance respectively. With the help of public platform of IGRS, alliance enterprises conduct all-round work in technology, products, market and funds. Joint innovation model is made gradually of led by Zhongguancun, based on capital, and guided by market. Up to end of 2008, there are precuts of more than twenty types in the market, IGRS laptop, TV, cell phone, projector, and high-definition player. Sales volume exceeds ten million. Direct economic value added exceeds two billion Yuan.
