IGRS 2009 1st Staff Work Meeting was Held Successfully

On May 12, 2009, IGRS standard work team held 2009 1st Staff Work Meeting in Guangdong Shunde. PENG Ping, Deputy Director-General of Guangdong Provincial Information Industry Office, TAN Zhiliang, director of Shunde Science & Technology Bureau, SUN Yuning, IGRS standard work team, and DENG yiwei, director of central research institute of Midea attended the meeting and delivered speech. Relevant leaders of China Electronic Standardization Institute and about one hundred and twenty people of IGRS members attended the meeting.  
 
At the meeting, report on progress in IGRS standard making, promotion, internationalization and industrialization in 2009 was made, product marketization and technology subject was set up. Interaction among members was enhanced and platform was provided for deep dialog among enterprises.  

PhD. SUN Yuning, IGRS standard work ream leader delivered reports on work results IGRS made in 2009 and later plan. In technology standard, six proposals of IGRS standard were set up as project by ISO/IEC. The fourth part of IGRS standard, that is testing and accreditation became international standard. This means IGRS technology system is fully accepted by ISO/IEC and became the important part of global 3C-convergence technology system. In association extension, number of IGRS members breaks one hundred and thirty, making original 3C chain more abundant. Aggregation of production, study and research is truly shaped. In marketization, IGRS member, Lenovo, Hisense, Great Wall, and TCL took the lead in releasing several types of IGRS products, such as IGRS PCTV, NAS, and broadband media center, etc. at the meeting, IGRS made notification on later work plan of IGRS standard team in 2009 to representatives. This is recognized by member enterprises.

In phase of digital home products and commercial mode, Midea, Great Wall, Hisense, CEC Huada Electronic Design Co., Ltd., and GOERTEK made presentation on IGRS products and application scene, discussion on commercial model as well. These raised attention and great interest of member enterprises. Meanwhile, IGRS joins hands with members to coordinate resources, develop IGRS standard technology and three technology teams: pervasive computing team, chip and IP core technology team and internet TV team were set up at the meeting.

The meeting was held jointly by work team secretary office and core enterprises, Midea. Through active participating of enterprises, a good platform for dialog was provided for members. After one day’s discussion, representatives made all-round detailed understanding and deep discussion on IGRS standard work team progress in 2009 and work plan, laying better foundation for later work in 2009.
