IGRS 2009 2nd Technology Group Meeting was Held Successfully

On August 19 to 21, IGRS standard work team held in Beijing IGRS 2009 2nd Technology Group Meeting. Members of IGRS technology group attended the meeting and made report on highlight, discussion on IGRS standard making and progress of technology group. Later work is arranged as well.

Meeting was conducted in way of seminar. PLC, system structure and reference model, DMCP standard text were discussed and amended and suggestion was put forward to on technology system, standard scope and technology content of internet TV group.

The meeting was presided respectively by IGRS, Lenovo, Panasonic and Philip. Members from every technology group actively participated and had discussion. IGRS standard cluster structure, IGRS internet TV standard scope, internet TV system structure and later work were defined basically at the meeting. PLC, system structure and reference model, DMCP standard text were improved. Meanwhile, presentation of Philip about u-Wand and Net TV products and technology presentation of KETI about digital multi-media and internet serving digital application were conducted. And discussion was made as well.

The meeting was held jointly by work secretary office and Panasonic, promotion member, ensuring satisfactory convening. After nearly three days’ heated discussion, representatives clarified roles and work plan of every technology group in later IGRS standard making and IGRS technology research and development, laying a good foundation for IGRS technology group work opening.
