Trans-boundary Development of China-Japan-Korea Digital Home Standards

“China-Japan-Korea Smart Home Symposium 2010 and China Summit of Asian Home Network Council (AHNC) China Summit”, which had been held continuously for twelfth times since 2006, was held in Shanghai. AHNC was the first trans-regional home network standard organization in Asia co-founded by IGRS of China, ECHONET of Japan and HNF of Korea in May, 2006. The success of “AHNC” this time further deepened the all-round cooperation in home network field among China, Japan and Korea, promoted the communication among governments, standard organizations and industries of the three countries, and propelled the communication between Chinese enterprises, foreign standard organizations and firms.

Representatives of member units of IGRS including Lenovo, Hisense, Konka, Changhong, Midea, Intervision, SGIT, SRIBS, Philips and so on, and representatives of KASH and ECHONET committee as well as representatives of university-industry-research co-association of Japan and Korea including Mitsubishi, Toshiba and KEIT were presented and had in-depth discussions on hot issues such as smart grid, new energy, home entertainment and application, etc. At this meeting, member units of IGRS not only have learned the progress of smart grid inland, but also have listened to the theme reports of ECHONET association of Japan and KASH association of Korea on “research progress of clean energy in Japan and smart grid industry” and “smart environmentally friendly household and smart grid”.
