A few days ago, IGRS appliance declared to official start Open Source IGRS Community in Beijing. As the first alliance in China to adopt the open source method to promote international standards, Open Source IGRS Community will become an Open Source platform in feature of international standards and technical system. It relies on Open Source IGRS standard basic agreement method to reduce the threshold for enterprises to adopt standards and technologies, reduce repetitive investment and improve the construction and development of cross-industry interconnected standards and the industry chain.
At the summit forum of “Open Source of IGRS, Open Source of China” hosted by China OSS Promotion Union, IGRS held the start ceremony of Open Source IGRS Community in the theme of “Open Source of IGRS, Open Source of China”. Many domestic and foreign important Open Source delegates from Linux, Apache, IBM, HP, Intel, Lenovo etc witnessed this ceremony. As the first Open Source Community based on international standards in Zhongguancun also in China, IGRS will open its self-developed protocol stacks and typical applications to the world and make all alliance manufacturers and Open Source people obtain the source codes for free as well as carry on the secondary development. As the only internal standard in China in 3C cooperative interconnection field, IGRS came up with China Standard Open Source, which is another innovative move after the IGRS Alliance mode, which effectively solves the difficulties of standard promotion and industrialization, as well as works out a new Chinese style Open Source standard innovative road.
