On July 21, 2011, with the guidance, supports and propelling of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the industrialization and application promotion of IGRS standard saw great progress. Recently, IGRS Standard Working Group has officially become a standard strategic cooperator of Guangzhou in building “Smart Guangzhou”. Both parties will embark on all-round cooperation in preparing the construction of Smart City Research Institute, building Guangzhou Tianhe Demonstration Area, developing key technologies and standards concerning building smart cities, etc.
Building “Smart Guangzhou” is an important strategic mission in Guangzhou’s “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, which aims at developing smart industries, urban area, community, life and management based on high-end information industry. It combines with new technologies, such as cloud computing, internet of things, tri-networks integration and smart control on the basis of IGRS Standard to form a solution for smart city characterized by safety, environmental protection and convenience. The advanced technology and industrial criterions and radiation ability of IGRS will contribute to Guangzhou’s social and economic development, bringing a more convenient life for the citizen.
